sheer exhaustion

its great living in a city filled with so much art. things around every corner just jump out at you. i just happened upon these. both of these pictures were taken on the gate that surrounds the back of the st. louis cathedral. you know where the "touchdown Jesus" statue is!! anyway, i was trying to decide which picture to put up today and these two were actually taken one after the other and i thought they made a great composition together.
not really much news today. yesterday was real busy. i've got everything in line for graduating in may. i went and paid my fee for graduation/diploma in what the lady in the registrar's office calls the "Libary". of course, being me, i repeated back to her "you mean liBRary" emphasizing the br sound. anyway, i thought it was a nice thing to do! leanna would be proud.
hope everything is going great for you (especially you!)
well, i'm gonna get going now. Robin just called. she says hello everyone. anyway, have a great night.
PEACE

LAST FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

1/14/08 - today marks a day i have been waiting for for quite some time now. you might say a little bit too long. not entirely my fault. but anyway... i'm shooting for a 4.0 this semester. me and my girlfriend robin have a deal set up. if she gets a 4.0 then i take her skydiving. and likewise for me. its a big goal but if suzie alexis can do it, then dangit.... so can i! joking. love you suzie. oh and congrats to her and stewmanji on the house deal. they might be the proud owners of a new house. awesome news.

well, i've gotta get to work so everyone have a great day. and i'll leave you with this picture from jackson square. its one of my favorites.

"Stop the War, Not the Art"

i finally had the saturday to myself, so me and jr ( jrongey.blogspot.com ) took to the town with cameras in hand. it was an absolutely beautiful day, perfect for shooting.
i got the chance to make some more progress on my graffiti shots and i'm really happy with the way they turned out. its always a great thing making art out of art that already exists.
this is picture will explain the title of the post today.

an amazing piece of art just to the right of the picture above (uncensored)

CCC

Back on. so yeah, its been a while since i messed with the blog. signing on just now to update it was a 30 minute process.
This is a picture taken under the Crescent City Connection with a buddy of mine josh rongey (who will hopefully have his own blog up in a few days weeks or months or so)

Enjoy, and hopefully i'll be back up in the next few days with a few more pictures.

oh, and i am about to start on my last semester as a college student, and i'll be taking lots of photos daily so be sure to check back in regularly.

my next idea is to start photographing graffiti. i'm excited about how it'll turn out. i just started and its already looking great.

see ya soon
